Welcome Address for ICIS2011 and IDCTA2011 (From IEEE Korea Council Chair)

On behalf of the organizing committee of ICIS2011 and IDCTA2011, I would like to extend a warm welcome and a sincere appreciation to all the participants. Along with my colleagues, I also would like to express my highest appreciation of the work by all conferences chairs, committee members and staffs on these important conferences. It gives me great pleasure to be with all of you to open the conferences.

I expect that this year¡¯s two conferences are not only to be a large event of those working hard for building the emerging area of interaction sciences, and digital content multimedia technology and its applications but it will also provide all of them with the best opportunities to discuss and exchange innovative ideas and opinions.

I would offer all of you my highest gratitude for contributing to the development of these hottest topics. Your presence here is an important display of how the topics of the conferences are becoming the hottest areas and attracting so many researchers to pursue the innovations in these fields. Korea is the first country to put the importance of innovative information technologies into its strategic development plan.

Busan is an ideal place for convention visitors to relax after-hours in its beautiful natural surroundings like some of the best beaches in Korea, exotic temples and various leisure. I sincerely wish all of you attending this year¡¯s conferences will achieve a fruitful development in your research and make unforgettable experiences during your stay in Busan.

I feel unbounded pleasure to hold these conferences in this fabulous city of Busan this year and hope that our ICIS2011 and IDCTA2011 will enable all of us to share and celebrate our common passion for our research and education.

Welcome Address for ICIS2011 and IDCTA2011 (From General and Program Chair)

It is my great pleasure to extend a warm welcome to participants from home and abroad, working hard for building the emerging area of interaction sciences, and digital contents, multimedia technology and its applications on behalf of the organizing committee of ICIS2011 and IDCTA2011.

The organizing committee has been devoting its effort to make these two conferences having the most significant scientific program. I strongly believe that all of us gathered for these conferences are more than qualified as the pioneers in their area, and will continue to be a fruitful area that benefits all of us and furthermore the society itself.

In addition, I am sure that these conferences will be informative and stimulating for all the participants and will also be a great hands-on opportunity to gain an in-depth knowledge of these fields.

Busan where is our conferences will be held, is an international maritime city where the sea, rivers and large mountains exist harmoniously side by side next to modern urbanity. Hope you meet interesting people at the conferences and have pleasant time during the stay in Busan.

Once again, the organizing committee extends a warm welcome to the international community of scholars and practitioners and I am looking forward to seeing all of you in Busan on August 16-18, 2011.
