DATICS Workshops were initially created by a network of researchers and engineers both from academia and industry in the areas of Design, Analysis and Tools for Integrated Circuits and Systems. Recently, DATICS has been extended to the fields of Communication, Computer Science, Software Engineering and Information Technology.

    The First International Workshop on Computational Intelligence for Bio-Medical Science and Engineering (CIMSE-2010)

    Scope
    Computational intelligence is playing today an important role in many research areas. Computer assisted diagnosis and surgery (CAD and CAS) has become one of the major research subjects and many computer assisted diagnosis and surgery techniques have been developed. This workshop is focused on applications of computational intelligence for bio-medical science and engineering. The purpose is to exchange the new ideas, trends and current research results in these research fields. Both researches and practitioners are welcome to submit their contributed papers.

    Topic of Interest:
    The topics include, but are not limited to the following areas:
    - Bio-medical signal and image processing

    - Machine learning
    - Image segmentation and registration techniques

    IS1: The Second International Forum on Incident Management

    Scope/Topic :
    Various types of incidents and disasters cause huge loss of people’s lives and property every year and highlight the need to improve our capabilities to handle natural, health, and manmade emergencies. How to develop emergency management systems that can provide critical decision support to emergency management personnel is consider a critical issue by researchers and practitioners. Goverments, such as the USA, the European Commision, and China, have recognized the importance of emergency management and funded national level emergency management projects during the past decade.

    This session seeks high-quality papers presenting current state of the art in using the information sciences and inteaction sciences for emergency management  from researchers and practitioners from all related disciplines

    This session intends to cover the fundamental theories, the state-of-the-art research findings, and experimental studies and applications of WSN target tracking techniques.

    Topics of interest include (but not limited to) the following:

    • Information processing, analyzing and management under different emergency situations (e.g., earthquake, terrorist attacks, hurricane);
