Call for Workshops

Following the tradition, ICCIT08 workshops will provide the participants with opportunities to discuss and explore emerging areas of Information Sciences and Services with fellow students, researchers, and practitioners. Workshop Organizer's FAQ

(1) Deadline for the Workshop:

Organizers of workshops can decide their own papers submission / notification deadline. But we recommend keep the date information of ICCIT2008.

(2) Submission for final accepted papers of the workshop:

Due to the publication schedule, workshop organizers should upload the accepted paper list (paper number, title, corresponding author name, contact e-mail address) and the final accepted papers to the "Submission of Accepted papers of Workshops"(will be opend) before July 20. The final camera-ready paper should be submitted directly to IEEE from each author following the notification of acceptance from IEEE and ICCIT.

(3) Proceedings of the workshop:

Proceedings for the workshops will be included in the proceedings of ICCIT2007 and published by IEEE CS series.

(4) Submission method for the workshop:

Workshop organizer can choose the submission method.
Case 1: By e-mail of the workshop organizer.
Case 2: Submission system in the ICCIT2008 web system.
Generally, we recommend the case1. It is the responsibility of the workshop organizer to collect papers, process reviews, make decisions about acceptance and rejection.
We also believe that workshop organizers may have more autonomy by having their own review process seperate from the main session.
In case 2, Workshop organizer can ask "open the submission system for my workshop" to Dr. Yun Ji Na by email (yjna@dongguk.ac.kr). Then organizer can use the all system functions, paper submission, review, sending acceptance letter, submission of final paper by author.

(5) How can I or other reviewers review the submitted papers? I need to know if there are any official tools for receiving reviewer comments.

Ans.: Each workshop organizer is responsible for establishing their own review process for the papers submitted to each workshop. We don't need the review documents.

(6) How can I contact authors for accept/reject notification?

Ans.: Each workshop organizer should keep in touch with authors using whatever means necessary. In many cases, email would work fine, though it may require appropriate attention on both sides. Workshop organizers are responsible for maintaining communication and keeping those on file.

(7) Can you tell me the general registration fees for the conference?

Ans.: The registration fee is not determined yet. It will be determined by situational factors such as number of expected registrants, local sponsors, and etc. However, it will be comparable to other IEEE conferences.

(8) Can the conference organizers make out a bill(receipt) when the author attend the conference?

Ans.: Receipt for the conference registration will be made out to each registrant and given out with the conference proceedings at the conference site by the main conference office.
