19. 2012 International Conference on Low-carbon Transportation and Logistics, Green Buildings (LTLGB2012)
2012 International Conference on Low-carbon Transportation and Logistics, Green Buildings (LTLGB2012)
Description
It has become a consensus that we must reduce carbon dioxide emission to mitigate global warming. Low carbon development has become the national development strategy in many countries, for example, the Chinese government promised to cut carbon emission of per unit GDP by 40% to 45% by 2020 compared with 2005 in 2009. As we know, the carbon emission in transportation, logistics and buildings is very large, only the carbon emission in transportation accounts for about 13% of the total emission, buildings even account for half of all CO2 emissions.
In order to strengthen academic exchanges and discussions on the fields of the technology, policy and management of carbon emission, 2012 International Conference on Low-carbon Transportation and Logistics, Green Buildings (LTLGB2012) will be held on 12-13 October 2012 in Beijing Jiaotong University, Beijing, China. The theme of the LTLGB 2012 is “Technological Innovation, Management Innovation and Policy Innovation under Low-Carbon Economy”.
LTLGB 2012 is hosted by Beijing Jiaotong University, cooperated with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science (Chinese Academy of Sciences) and Beijing University of Chemical Technology and sponsored by NSFC (National Natural Science Foundation of China) and K. C. Wong Education Foundation. The aim of the meeting is to promote not only the communication between researchers but also the communication between government and researchers in low carbon transportation, low carbon logistics, green buildings. The LTLGB 2012 will provide an idea-exchange and discussion platform for the world’s researchers and academia, where internationally recognized researchers and practitioners share cutting-edge information, address the hottest issue in low carbon transportation, logistics and green building, explore new low carbon technologies and management methods, exchange and build upon new ideas. And meantime the conference will also provide researchers and practitioners an opportunity to highlight innovative research directions, and a growing number of novel applications.

31. 2th International Conference on Computer Science and Logistics Engineering
2th International Conference on Computer Science and Logistics Engineering
Description
Logistics engineering as a discipline is also a very important aspect of systems engineering that includes reliability engineering. It is the science and process whereby reliability, maintainability, and availability are designed into products or systems. It includes the supply and physical distribution considerations above as well as more fundamental engineering considerations.
Another much more popular derivative and a complete usage of the logistic term which has appeared in recent years is the supply chain. The supply chain also looks at an efficient chaining of the supply / purchase and distribution sides of an organisation. While Logistics looks at single echelons with the immediate supply and distribution linked up, supply chain looks at multiple echelons/stages, right from procurement of the raw materials to the final distribution of finished goods up to the customer.
The computer science has been applied in logistics engineering in many aspects. Thus the inter discipline in the logistics and computer science has been more and more popular in the scientific research. 2012 the 2th International Conference on Computer Science and Logistics Engineering(ICCSLE 2012), will be held on during Oct. 19-21, 2012 in Zhengzhou, China. The purpose of this conference is to call for researchers engaging in Management Science, Management Modeling and Computer Science to get together and present the state-of-the-art of, and emerging trends in, research and practice in this field.

41. Research of recent advances user interfaces and interaction technology in context-based computing
Research of recent advances user interfaces and interaction technology in context-based computing
Description
Reducing cost of service is an important goal for resource discovery and interaction technologies. The shortcomings of transhipment-method and hibernation-method are to increase holistic cost of service and to slower resource discovery respectively.
In recent years, advances in technology have enabled the development of mobile systems and applications that are increasingly present in our daily life. Non-invasive, pervasive and ubiquitous installations are sought today to respond to many application domains with human users at the centre.
The evolution of these technologies is expanding the coverage of mobile applications, systems and services. But context awareness requires devices sensing and reacting to environments and circumstances under which they are able to operate. To fulfil the potential of new services, applications and systems required by new mobile devices and platforms, several complex research issues on user interfaces and interaction models need to be further investigated. This special issue seeks contributions of high quality papers addressing recent advances on user interfaces and interaction models in context-based computing.

53. Special Issue on Content-Centric Networking
Special Issue on Content-Centric Networking
Description
Content-Centric Networking is a new communication paradigm centered around named-data. Accordingly, network primitives (e.g., routing, forwarding, data transfer) are based on content names rather than host identifiers, and every node can potentially store content to serve user requests. ICN has received increasing attention in the last few years as it is considered a promising approach to overcome the emerging limitations of overlay infrastructures to deal with today''s traffic trends. Indeed, ICN has the potential to natively address the challenge of distributing the large amount of content associated with different Internet services in a scalable, flexible, and efficient way.
Scope
This special issue invites novel contributions on ICN architecture and mechanism designs for different environments (e.g., Public Internet, MANET, virtual private network, cellular networks), performance evaluation and analysis, implementation and experimental evaluation. Submissions related to ICN deployment scenarios and business models are also welcome. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
-Inter/intra domain name-based routing protocols
-High-speed name-based forwarding mechanisms
-Transport level algorithms and protocols
-Resource management, traffic control and traffic engineering
-Storage management and cache coordination strategies
-Content router design
-Security architecture and technologies
-Privacy and trust preserving mechanisms
-ICN legacy and new applications for multimedia, web services, mobile, cloud computing
-Services over ICN
-Mobility management
-Quality of Service

Description
Management science is a discipline that deals with the application of advanced analytical methods to help make better decisions. Some time, the decision science or operation research are sometimes used as more modern-sounding synonyms.
Advanced management science is to reflect the advancement in frontiers in the operation research, decision science and many other relative area. It employ techniques from other mathematical sciences, such as mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, and mathematical optimization, operations research arrives at optimal or near-optimal solutions to complex decision-making problems. Because of its emphasis on human-technology interaction and because of its focus on practical applications, management science has overlap with other disciplines, notably industrial engineering and operations management, and draws on psychology and organization science. Operations Research is often concerned with determining the maximum (of profit, performance, or yield) or minimum (of loss, risk, or cost) of some real-world objective. Originating in military efforts before World War II, its techniques have grown to concern problems in a variety of industries.
2013 the 5th International Conference on Advanced Management Science(AMS 2013) will be held on Dec 27-29, 2013 in Sanya Hainan Island, China. The purpose of this conference is to call for researchers engaging in Management Science to get together and present the state-of-the-art of, and emerging trends in Management science, information management, Services science, etc. The topic for this Conference is Complex System and Management Science? We will select best papers to be published in this journal.
